How Does The Society Help?

Members receive a listing of all pamphlets available on topics from "body donation" to "recycling your medical devices". Included is a simple pre-arrangement form for each adult member to fill out to indicate the type of arrangements wanted:
  • direct cremation (without embalming)
  • direct burial (without embalming)
  • cremation after a funeral service
  • burial after a funeral service
  • donation of body to medical science
A copy of the pre-arrangement form can be retained in the member's file in the M.A.P.S. office to help survivors at the time of death.

The Society periodically contacts a large number of funeral homes and cemeteries to obtain price lists. Since prices and conditions change over time, M.A.P.S. suggests that members and/or survivors call at the time of death for a short, up-to-date list of recommended funeral homes.
